Elon Musk has said he would reverse Twitter’s ban on Donald Trump after claiming that the social media platform has a strong left-wing bias.
Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, who has agreed a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter, said the decision to permanently suspend the former president was “morally wrong and flat-out stupid”.
Trump, 75, was kicked off Twitter in January last year after his supporters stormed the US Capitol. He was accused of risking “further incitement to violence” with his tweets. Trump has since founded his own platform, Truth Social, and said he was not interested in a return to Twitter, the platform on which he built his political career.
