Leeds United squad
Jesse Marsch has already faced Manchester City once this season, as his RB Leipzig side traveled to the Etihad in the Champions League group stages. Even though star forward Christopher Nkunku scored a hat-trick, the American left empty-handed, with his side suffering an emphatic 6-3 defeat.
On Saturday, both Marsch and Leeds United – who lost 7-0 to the title chasers in December – will be looking to gain revenge for that defeat. Any points Leeds can take from City would be both highly unlikely and vital in Leeds’ bid to escape relegation danger, as well as damaging City’s title hopes.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s game, the Leeds head coach revealed the team news as Leeds prepared themselves in hopes of an upset. Crysencio Summerville has become the latest player to be ruled out until the end of the season, joining Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts on that list.
Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford is nearing a return to training but won’t be ready to play yet. Marsch is hopeful of his return for the final games of the season.
Expected Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Kristoffer Klaesson, Luke Ayling, Diego Llorente, Charlie Cresswell, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo, Leo Hjelde, Stuart Dallas, Robin Koch, Kalvin Phillips, Nohan Kenneh, Lewis Bate, Mateusz Klich, Jack Harrison, Rodrigo, Raphinha, Daniel James, Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood
